Rainy Days and Planning Crafts

Posted on April 30, 2025August 11, 2025 by Kelly

It’s a nice little rainy day here in the mountains, and I thought it would be nice to share my rainy day thoughts with you.

To me, rainy days are super cozy. I just want to curl up in a chair with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate and daydream. Too bad actual life gets in the way of that most of the time! But if I’m able, I do like to take some time to actually do the daydreaming part with crafts. This is a fun thing I like to do, and I thought I’d share.

Every crafter has a list of crafts they would love to do. Someday. Maybe never, but mostly the elusive someday. After all, isn’t this what Pinterest was created for? Browsing, exploring, saving, and dreaming. And maybe one day, adding your own to be saved and dreamed over.

I also like to browse and explore color palettes for potential projects. I sometimes have a hard time deciding what colors go well together, so I find this pretty helpful. I don’t always use the palettes I find exactly, but it gives me a jumping off point to figure out what might work together well. Then I can go browse through the yarn with at least an idea, instead of wandering and hoping for inspiration to strike.

Anyway, I’m exploring some new craft ideas today, and I can’t wait to dig into them more. What projects are you planning and dreaming about?
