Happy Father’s Day! I am acutely aware this year of the frailty of human life, and I am thankful that my dad is still around. We were touch and go for a bit here recently, but he is home and seems to be improving.

I have all these happy memories of growing up and doing special things with my dad. Reading together, singing silly made up songs, riding on his shoulders as a very young child, and more. He’s the one who taught me how to drive a stick shift, in an old manual truck that also had no power steering, so let me tell you just how much fun that was!
What special memories do you have about your dad? Or if you don’t have them with your biological father, share the memories you have with your chosen father figure, or other important male in your life. You don’t have to be related to someone to have that kind of relationship with them.
Here’s to another year!
