Ok so this isn’t a musical, but I’m keeping the same title format even if I talk about an opera. You’ll just have to accept that!
Let’s start with why I chose this opera to be first. I don’t know if anyone goes and watches the shows that I talk about based on my writings. But if you do, this is a fantastic first opera to watch. It’s a comedy, which is always nice. And you are likely already familiar with the music.
What’s that you say? You’ve never watched an opera before, so you can’t possibly know the music?

Ever heard the song that goes Figaro, Figaro…etc? Comes from this opera. Ever seen the Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd cartoon where Bugs is acting like a barber? The music comes from this opera. There’s also a famous female aria Una voce poco fa that also comes from this opera.
You do know the music for this one, I can almost promise you that.
It’s a silly story, with lots of buffoonery. I definitely recommend it for a watch if you’re interested. Remember, subtitles are your friend!
